What we keep, and what we don't.
The short version: we never store your photos, and we don't sell your data.
Last updated June 9, 2026.
Your photos
When you use the color analysis, your photos are resized and stripped of their metadata, including any EXIF location, right in your browser before anything is sent. The resized images are read once to produce your season result and are not stored: no photo and no face image is ever saved to our servers or our database. What we keep is the result, not the pictures.
What we do record
To improve the catalog and learn which colors and seasons matter to our readers, we record anonymous, non-identifying information: the season a photo set resolves to, the general color characteristics behind that result (overall warmth, depth, and the broad descriptors the model derived), which pages on this site get visited (the page path and the page that linked you here, never your browsing anywhere else), which products get clicked, and a coarse, approximate location from your connection (country and region, never a precise address or raw IP). None of it is tied to your name. It is linked only to a random identifier your browser generates. We do this ourselves, first-party; there is no third-party analytics script on the site.
That random identifier
So that repeat clicks and analysis runs in one session hang together, we store a random identifier in your browser's local storage. It contains no personal information, it is not an advertising cookie, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your site data. We do not run third-party advertising or social trackers.
Affiliate links
When you click through to a brand, that brand and its affiliate network may set their own cookies to credit the referral. That happens on their side, under their own privacy policies, not ours. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how the commissions work.
Email and accounts
Leaving your email is optional, always. We ask in two places: after a color analysis, where we offer to send you your palette, and in the footer, where you can join the digest. If you type in an email, we store it alongside your season result and use it for those sends and nothing else. Skipping the email changes nothing about your result. We never sell or share addresses, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time by writing to hello@garamondgoods.com. There are no user accounts.
Your choices
You can skip the photo analysis entirely and pick your season by hand from the catalog filters. To ask a question about your data, or to ask us to delete something we hold, write to hello@garamondgoods.com. Garamond Goods is operated from Miami, Florida, United States.
